FLIGHT OF BUTTERFLIES X I. setosa

LOOPHOLE (Seedling #FOB-13)
Introduced 2004

This time the "butterfly wings" pattern of FOB came through in rich shades of purple. Not quite as prolific a bloomer as #FOB-6, this one made up for it with blooms of heavier substance and slightly earlier bloom. It was also a bit taller, blooming at 26" and had 2-3 buds at the terminal and 1 branch with 1-2 buds. Like FOB-6, it sets abundant large pods though they began to fall off shortly after bloom finishes.

Standards are grape with a magenta flush at the base. Stylearms are a glowing rose-purple with dark grape edges and crests. The falls are cream white with a medium purple overlay and darker veins.
