Setosa #CxA1

This is the first of the I. setosa canadensis X I. setosa var. interior to bloom. The dark spots on the leaves and underside of the petals are bits of mud splashed up by a pounding rain.

Height is 8". Foliage color is mid-green. 2 terminal buds and no branching. 11 fans with 1 stem. The bloom color is a light blue-violet with a fancy setosa type signal that ends in a sharp point. The light violet-pink standards are typical of setosas and are barely noticeable. Stylearms are narrow and without a lot of feathering or ruffles. Anthers are white brushed violet with white pollen
