JS-B X JS-A seedling
From a cross made in 2001 using ADRENALINE RUSH (F1 Siberian type) as the pod parent and 92JS10A (F1 JI type) as the pollen parent. While some of AR's kids have bloomed at 1 year old, this one may still be too young to bloom. New leaves begin smooth and flat while older leaves will often show a strong rib for half the length. The rib, at its thickest, is roughly 1/8" thick. This showed no ribs in its leaves last season.
The other seedling carried a strong JI-type rib in all of its leaves. It did not survive being buried in hail after unseasonably warm weather in the spring of 2002.
Both seedlings were from the same pod.
It finally bloomed in 2005.
The strongly ribbed leaves belong to a neighboring iris. This seedling shows a strong rib only at the base.
