Like drops of melting ice, cracked rock quartz, glass, and teardrops of rainbow quartz hang gently from a cluster of bare branches and feathers. Inside the basket, past the winter white of the outside, a small nest of woven rafia holds polished stones.

The body of this basket is a form of paper mache'. I use glue in wetting the paper pieces so the finished basket is quite strong. It is covered in fine art papers inside and out. The upper part of the basket is coiled long pine needles stitched tightly with rafia. Signed.
