Bloom shows pendant falls and is considerably larger than any of the setosas including the unrelated I. setosa var. interior.

Falls are dark royal purple with a darker line embracing the tip of the signal to the bottom of the falls. Setosa-type signal. Stylearms are rose-purple with violet center ridge and crests. Standards are quite narrow as in setosas but are slightly longer than would be typical. Anthers are dark purple with white pollen.

Height is 20". Foliage is yellow-green. 2 terminal buds plus 2 branches. 15 fans and 2 stems.
