I have started training my dogs in herding. They show a natural instinct for the chase, but responding to my commands is another story!
Kestrel has earned her started duck title and one leg towards her started sheep title. She earned High In Trial Aussie in August 2004 at Black Sheep ASC's Paul Davis Memorial Trial, out-scoring two Open level Aussies! She is a natural herder, and we look forward to earning more started titles next spring and advancing on to Open.
I have
also started competing with Hawk and Merlin, but as training time and trialing
opportunities are limited, we are progressing slowly... here are a few photos
