2008 Pend Oreille County Fair

BOOTHS

 Booth space must be applied for by JULY 1st.

The Booth Manager is listed on page 3.

This applies to Granges, Schools and other civic organizations that will make a group exhibit and refers to booth space only.

  Community and Grange Booths Score Card

This is the score card developed by a Grange committee and officially adopted by Pomona Grange.

  3. Plan of display
    1. Center of interest
    2. Balance
    3. Unity
    4. Simplicity
    5. Color
  4. Quality of workmanship or products
  5. Booth representative of area
  6. Originality

  1. Nameplates of granges shall be of uniform size (4" x 24") and placed in the center front face of the booth.
  2. Booths will be judged by number. Nameplates will be covered during judging.
  3. The number of members in the grange will not be displayed in the booth.
  4. No central theme will be specified for all the granges to follow. Each grange must follow the theme of their choice.
  5. Deadline 9:00pm Wednesday. Shavings or dry clippings cannot be used. Only fireproof crepe paper may be used.
  6. It is permissible to change size and shape of booth if desired.
  7. Products must have been grown in the community displaying them.
  8. Miniatures may be used to scale.
  9. All competing Granges following the above guidelines will receive $50.00.
  10. Three professional judges will judge booths.

AWARDS 

GRANGE BOOTHS

The top three booth winners will receive ­additional prize money. First place, an extra $15.00, Second place, an extra $10.00 and Third place, an extra $5.00.             

LIVESTOCK EDUCATIONAL BOOTH

             Fair Award of $50.00 given for the County Livestock Association and Cowbelles Educational Booth.

FHA AND FFA EDUCATIONAL BOOTHS

              Fair Award of $50.00 given for each FHA and FFA Chapter Educational Booth.

  YOUTH EDUCATIONAL BOOTH

Fair Award of $15.00 given for the top educational booth by FFA, FHA, 4-H, Junior Grange or other youth. BOOTH MUST BE SET UP BY YOUTH.

HOME & COMMUNITY EDUCATORS

Fair Award of $50.00 for an educational exhibit portraying this year's work.

PEND OREILLE ROCK, GEM and MINERAL CLUB EDUCATIONAL EXHIBIT

Fair Award of $50.00 for this exhibit.
