Open Class

Horse entries must be mailed to Ann Elliott, 225 Wildrose Lane, Cusick, WA 99119 by July 15. A responsible adult must sign open youth forms.

NO HORSES STALLED IN BARNS OR OUTSIDE PENS BEFORE VET INSPECTION, Tuesday, 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

No horse entries accepted after deadline (July 15). No horses on the grounds unless entered in Fair.

ALL BREEDS - REGISTERED HORSES ONLY

If there is a stabling space problem, open class horses may be entered for one day only and taken home.

The rules that apply to open class are the same as those that apply to 4-H and FFA .. CHECK HEALTH REQUIREMENTS.

  1. Horses must be on grounds for vet inspection, Tuesday, 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
  2. Horses will be judged starting Wednesday on the group system.
  3. All champion and trophy winner entries MUST be shown in the Parade of Champions on Sunday unless excused by the superintendent.
  4. Registration numbers must be given on entry blanks.
  5. Registration papers are to be presented on the opening day of the fair.
  6. Stallions (to be shown and taken home, not stabled in barn) will be put in designated area by Superintendent.
  7. Youth age must be shown on entry slip, month and year. Youth are exhibitors who have not reached their 19th birthday prior to January of the current year.
  8. Open Class Contestants are all contestants including youth not entered as a 4-H or FFA member.
  9. Open Class exhibitors MUST have at least one person on barn duty at all times. Exhibitors must be dressed appropriately and wearing boots.
  10. Open youth exhibitors are eligible for halter division only.
