GENERAL RULES:
- Products must be shown in the quantities named in order to obtain premiums.
- Exhibits must be in place by 9:00pm Wednesday.
- Vegetables should be clean, not scrubbed, free of disease and uniform in shape, color, size and degree of ripeness.
- Root crops (beets, kohlrabi, onions, garlic, etc.) should have 2-3" of green top and 1 ½" taproots on. Trim small sucker roots.
- Cabbage, lettuce, chard, etc. should be neatly trimmed at root end. Leave a shell of leaves on lettuce and cabbage, which would be removed prior to eating.
- Dry onions should be selected 7 to 10 days before exhibiting date. They should be wiped clean of dirt, air-dried and a brown shell should be left on. Do not skin the onions down to the white inner layer. Leave 2 - 3" tops.
- Follow lengths, diameters and amounts requested or no placing will be given.
- Cucumbers, tomatoes (cherry, ripe or green), peppers, garden peas and green beans should have stem end left on (no more than ½". Use scissors to be sure.
- Variety must be listed on all tags . It helps judge maturity.
- Only 1 entry will be accepted for each exhibitor number in each class.
- Bring a replacement entry, if possible, if the original entry is not withstanding the heat.
- Entries must be picked up by Sunday 6:30pm or will be discarded.

- Exhibitors should do the carving on a young pumpkin or squash. As the vegetable matures the carving will take on a scarred look. Remember that the carving will grow as the vegetable matures. If the carving was not just right when carved, it may be beautiful when matured.
